Interview With Moe Green of the Bay Area Freshman 10

So...Let's Talk Music

Q: First I want to say Congrats on being In the August Issue of XXL Magazine under Show and Prove, How did you feel when you actually seen your face and your story in one of the Biggest Magazine’s in hip-hop?

Moe Green: Thank you. It was a blessing honestly. I have been buying XXL Magazine since I was in elementary school and to finally be in there it really was a defining moment in my career. I showed my mom and she just started crying because she knows how big that was.

Q: As a Performer do you ever find it hard to keep your audience involved with your show?

Moe Green: I really believe you have to keep the audience involved to keep them interested. I do what I call my “lounge singer” approach, and what that means is I just talk to the crowd and make them feel that they are a part of the show.

Q: What motivates you to keep going and not walk off the stage?

Moe Green: I really love music and I know that God has a plan for me. If He wanted me to to be building bird houses for a living I would have been great in woodshop, but I couldn’t even make a good jewelry box. In 8th grad a teacher prayed over me that I would do great in music, and I wasn’t even serious about music yet so I knew it was meant to be.

Q: Can you describe how “KIM” off your Rocky Mavia Album was created? What is the meaning behind it?

Moe Green: “KIM” was produced by Hg. I just had the idea of making a song that was about progress, and instead of calling it keep it moving I thought it would be cool to give it a name like a person so I just stuck with “KIM”.

Q: In your eyes when did your musical career start?

Moe Green: My first time in an actual studio I knew that I really wanted to do this.

Q: What do you fear most out of being in this music industry?

Moe Green: I fear the fall off. Nobody wants to be remembered as a nobody.

Q: What is next for Moe Green what can your fans and potential fans look forward to in the near future?

Moe Green: I have an album with my bro Rob-E that is on its way and just expect a few more free projects for the people.

If you are out in the Atlanta Area Moe Green and Several other Artists out of the Bay Area will be performing at the Bay Area Rap Team up, Check them out. More information on the Flyer Below:

Video: Keri Hilson "Breaking Point"

I'm actually really interested in hearing Keri Hilson's new album "No Boys Allowed"

Interview with R&B Singer Glorie

So...Let's Talk Music

Q: Tell me about your upcoming project, who are you working with and What has been motivating you on this journey?

Glorie: Well I just finished my Ep called Hate 2 Love , we are in the process of excepting records for my album. So Im very excited to see what producers have in store.

Q: What would you say is the most challenging part of being an up an coming artist?

Glorie: The most challenging part about being an artist would have to be feeling like you always have to look perfect or be perfect. Nobody is perfect and I don't want young girls getting the wrong idea that flaws don't exist.

Q: Being an artist as well as a dancer do you find it easier to interact with your audience while performing?

Glorie: Yes, I do find it easier to interact with the audience as a dancer because you wouldn't expect a girl to do a b-boy stance in the middle of a freestyle.

Q: Can you remember the first song you ever memorized?

Glorie: lol, the first song I ever memorized...I don't even know ,but from what I can remember, Singing in the rain Soundtrack "Do You" By Debbie Roynalds

Q: Describe the sound of Glorie, what makes you stand out from the other Female Artists?

Glorie: My Sound is a mixture of opera, soul, and pop. I say opera because I was training to be an opera singer before I started pursuing to be a Mainstream artist. In my music ,you can hear alot of operatic melodies kind of like Beyonce's Ava Maria. Also, what sets me apart from other Female artist would be the fact Im a musician who dances. 1,2 step in my opening act, trade in the sneakers for a grand piano, then begin to perform a beautiful ballad for the fans. Chris Brown meets Alicia Keys lol.......

Q: What’s next for Glorie?

Glorie: The next thing for me is focusing on working on my debut album and building a relationship with my fans through music, movies, commercials and social media.

Exclusive Interview with The Outlawz

As the music industry continues to expand and evolve on an everyday basis, The Outlawz strives to remain consistent with their brand “Outlawz 4 Life,” their loyalty, and the brotherly unification since being introduced to the world. The Outlawz were originally introduced by Hip Hop’s legendary lyricist, Tupac Shakur, as guest artists on classic hits like “Me Against the World,” “All Eyez on Me,” and “Makaveli.”

Developed by "Tupac" in 1995, The "Outlawz" have endured many changes and weathered the roughest storms personally and professionally. The result is the perfect blend of seasoned lyricists, musical motivators, innovators, and well-conditioned reality driven storytellers.

The Outlawz still remains the only group in music history to be featured on over 60 million records sold while never being signed to a major record label.

Having such a notoriety to remain loyal to, The Outlawz represent a struggle like no other, and remains adamant to deliver the type of music that they were originally introduced to “Ghetto Gospel” for the streets and for their loyal fans. Now having over a decade now in the Hip Hop Community, the group is ready to show and prove to the world why unification as brothers still holds as a value in all of their goals.

The group, which now consists of the original members: E.D.I. Mean, Young Noble and Hussein Fatal, will drop an album titled Perfect Timing in March 2011. This is the group’s reunion album with Hussein Fatal who went solo right after the deaths of 2pac and Yaki Kadafi.

So..Let's Talk Music

Q: How do you feel about releasing a new album after some time?

The Outlawz: It feels great and right for The Outlawz to drop new music, a new mixtape, and a new album together. It's the Perfect Timing for some true soldiers with a real message and credibility to step up to the forefront of this rap game with real street reality music! Long over due in our eyes.

Q: What Inspired The Outlawz to put out a new album, and what can we expect from it?

The Outlawz: The streets and our fans inspired this reunion with Fatal, our new music and more. They been waiting for the reunion with The Outlawz and one of the original members, Fatal, since Pac died. Without any exceptions to this, The Outlawz have to deliver! You can expect real music and real messages that come will gear towards hope, motivation and inspiration. Great chemistry and song writing combined as one

Q: Do you have any advice for the up and coming artists that are grinding to make it in the music industry?

The Outlawz: Yes, our advice would be to make sure that they are original and remain as such. Practice and Perfect their craft and their business before allowing anyone else to. Invest in themselves and don't wait to be discovered: the industry today in age doesn't work like that.

Q: Now that you guys are pushing your album will you be doing more shows and appearances?

The Outlawz: The Outlawz tour every year even without the new album being dropped, we keep our movement alive through our shows, appearances and tours.

Q: What is next for The Outlawz?

The Outlawz: The road is endless for the group, we will have a new mixtape dropping before 2010 is over, a new album in March 2011, a new street DVD for our fans to love that focuses also on our hard work we have put in on this new music, the new Outlawz eyewear, and a new tour reunited. We are stronger than ever now and ready to show and prove to ourselves and the world of Hip Hop.

Ending this interview, we would like to thank you for your support over the years. Also, please be sure to follow us on twitter at www.twitter.com/theoutlawz

Live Interview With Rap Duo Audio Push

Audio Push emcees Oktane and Price Tag might be young guns in the rap game, but they are approaching their careers with the swagger of elder statesmen. The rappers from the Inland Empire section of Southern California are forerunners of the fast rising "jerk" movement, boasting the sub-genre's first tribute record, "Teach Me How To Jerk".

Their skilled energetic jerk style bares similarities to '80s Ska mixed with rapid skipping, squatting and popping movements. But the former crump battle dancers can also spit. They write their own rhymes and posses impressive confident conversational flows.

Produced by Kadis and Sean of Roz Music Entertainment, "Teach Me How To Jerk" vibrates with hypnotic energy. It was the buzz they received throughout the I.E. and MySpace that secured them show dates, including a set at the highly regarded Texas Summer Music Conference. They caught the attention of Roz Entertainment, struck a production deal and started working on more songs, including a remix to their already popular "Teach Me How To Jerk."

While "Teach Me How To Jerk" will serve as their introduction to many, Audio Push is multi-dimensional. Other songs on their self-titled debut range from the hip-hop ballads like the fly Auto-Tune styled "Aviator" and bouncy "Chose You"; retro flavored braggadocio "Mike Jackson Bad," rock fueled "Audio Kiss," and the piano driven, uplifting message song "Run Away."

It's been a good minute since a new group broke out West without being associated with an already established superstar name. But Audio Push is that good. They don't need the co-sign. Their hype, energy and talent is enough to blaze a trail. It's already in motion.

Exclusive Interview With R&B Singer Netta Brielle

So...Let's Talk Music

Q: How and when did Netta B. come into form? How long have you been recording and performing as an artist?

Netta B: I claimed the name "Netta B" when I was just 5 years old. In fact I got in trouble by my mother for tagging it on my bedroom wall lol. I started off acting, rapping, and writing poerty which over time formed into what I like to call myself; a performing artist. My mother was extremely supportive of my big dreams, she did her best to get me involved in every piece of the arts. I began doing plays, talent shows, and taking dance classes all in perperation for the career path I had chosen.

Q: If you could describe your sound and look in two words what would they be and why?

Netta B: I chose the word "electric" because I like to think my music has high feel good energy, that moves through the body touching the soul. My upcoming single "Tell me whats wrong" is a great definition of that. I also picked the word "Rebel" because when it comes to my music I have a rebel mentallity, meaning Im going to do the type of music that is true to me, despite what anyone says. I live my entire life in that way.

Q: Is it harder to get recognition as a female R&B singer out of the bay area when you’re surrounded by Rap artists?

Netta B: Honestly it's easier to get recognized as and a female R&B/Pop Artist here in the Bay Area, because their arent very many of us. I am definately surrounded by a lot of rappers but it has been real blessing because I have learned so much from them. Ive understood how to push myself as an indie artist and create my own buzz by simply going hard, much of this I learned from artist like The Jacka, Big Rich, Erk Tha Jerk, and more.

Q: Now I’ve seen you perform and you really put on an awesome show, do you enjoy performing the most as an artist, and what gets you motivated before shows?

Netta B: Thank you! I LOVE performing! Its my high, my release, I like to believe the stage is my home. Im not afriad to sweat and I am very serious about giving my all. "I leave my heart on the stage" is a line from my song "Glamorous Lifestyle" the stage is my favorite place to be on earth. When Im performing I get to introduce every part of who Netta Brielle is, the happiness, pain, love, excitement, etc. My dream is headline my own show at the colusem (Oracle Arena) someday. I put that thought out into the universe daily lol.

Q: What is next for Netta B. and where can we keep up with you and your journey through this music industry?

Netta B: What is Next for Netta B? I plan to take my show on the rode, outside of the Bay. Ive learned so much here I believe Im ready get out into the world with my music.
