On the Come Up: R&B Singer Jinxx

"Jinxx" sometimes is referred to as bad luck, symbolized in historical cultures with a child beneath a ladder.

A fresh face to R&B with a sound that is out of this world, this talented singer/songwriter represents San Francisco, CA. The Jinxx was raised in the notorious Fillmore district by his grandmother. His Father was not around and his mother in and out of jail. The Jinxx turned to the streets at a young age and had to learn how to be a man on his own. Tragedy was the given key to empower his style and prowess on the microphone. Battle rapping on any corner there was a cipher, music became his escape. Locked in various correctional facilities at an early age, inmates referred to him as the messiah. Beating drums on his chest to give his colleagues uplifting raw rap to relieve them of their current situation. Finally released not believing he would see the light of day again, ''THE JINXX'' has been in the studio recording the story of his life. Furthermore, his unique flow is incomparable. The Jinxx has been featured on albums as a rapper and singer for The Game, Too Short, Yung Buck, Juvenille, San Quinn, Dem Hoostarz, and a host of Bay Area artist.

Currently The Jinxx is working on the completion of his debut R&B Album “Confessions of an Astronaut”. With “Confessions of an Astronaut” The Jinxx wanted to come with a by costal sound a mix of Alternative Hip Hop, Organica, Pop, and R & B. “Confessions of an Astronaut” boast the hot singles “Woozie”, The Bomb”, and “That Girl Right There”.

Recently being signed by 5 Diamond Entertainment, an exclusive sponsorship of the French eyewear Face a Face, and the release of his debut album 2010 looks to be out of this world. Get ready to enter the mind of The Jinxx.

From a Producers eye with Songwriter and Producer Tario

Sooo...Let's Talk Music

Q: What genre of music is most fun to produce for you?

Tario: I love to do R&B and Fun sounding tracks

Q: What motivated you to start producing and songwriting?

Tario: I started producing because of the songs i would hear in my head. I started playing piano to produce what i was feeling into a beat. I started songwriting because of past or present relationships i had to express how i was feeling in another way so i picked up a pin and started writing to some of my tracks.

Q: If you could give other up and coming producers any tips and advice on producing and show casing their talent what would it be?

Tario: If you really want to produce and are passionate about music I recommend you to never giving up on your dream it gets really hard at times trust me i know but have faith and keep bettering you’re craft. Listen to what people have to say even if its bad because that bad will make you better. There is always room to grow so don’t just get to one spot and stay there.

Q: Is there any artist that you would love to work on a project for?

Tario: right now i would love to work with Keri Hilson, Lady Gaga, Mary J, Beyonce, and the list goes on and on.

Q: As a producer what are the pro’s and con’s as far as getting you music in the right hands?

Tario: Getting your music in the right hands is really all about being at the right place at the right time or who you know. Pro’s are you get exposure and people to listen to what you been doing in the lab. Con’s are that you can get your music stolen if you’re not careful or might not get credit for things that you’ve done. Be careful producers the game can be very cold just be aware of the people you work with.

On the Come up: Tony Vic

Tony Vic Isn't your average emcee. Of course it's a claim that most Hip Hop artists make, but in this instance, it's more than a case of simple braggadocio. it's illustrated not only by his music - a passionate fusion of intellect, soul and street wisdom, but every time he speaks about his art.
