Interview with R&B Singer R.O.D.

R.O.D is the next hottest R&B/Soul artist to come out the Bay Area in 2010. Following in the foot steps of artist like Keysha Cole, Goapele, and Tone Tony Toni, R.O.D is poised to take the world by storm. He is someone to look out for serious Talent.

Q: So first thing what does R.O.D. stand for? And what made you decide to go with the name and not just a common singer name?

R.O.D.:"R.O.D." Stands for Reality Over Dreams. I decided to go with that name because its a reflection of me & my music. I'm into talking about real life situations.

Q: How does it feel to have one of the most requested songs on the bay’s top radio station right now? Do you ever get sick of hearing your own music?

R.O.D.: One of the most requested songs? Wow! It feels great! Lol. I don't like listening to myself because I'm always critiquing myself, I'm never satisfied

Q: What makes you stand out? Describe your sound

R.O.D.: What makes me stand out is the fact that I hold no punches in my music. I'm one of the few r&b artist that actually speak on what's real

Q: As an Artist what do you think is your best attribute, what will make people love you all over the globe?

R.O.D.: One of my many attributes is that I'm a humble dude. Not afraid to interact with my supporters.

Q: I hear you’re in the process of recording the remix to “I Can’t Stand You” what is the line up for this joint? And how successful do you think it will be compared to the original?

R.O.D.: Yes, I'm in the process of recording the remix to "can't stand you" right now. I'm keeping it low key about who's on the remix right now. Just know that its what the bay has been missing for a long time. I believe that the remix will bring VERY successful, I can't say if it will be received as more "successful" than the original, I hope so.

Q: What can we look forward to in the come up of your success? What is next for R.O.D.?

R.O.D.: Be on the lookout for my EP titled "Many Contradictions Of...Love, vol 1" due in May. Also, check me out on big rich & YB tha rockstar's new album titled "guns & roses", nio tha gift's album "H.I.P.H.O.P." Both on i tunes right now. I'm recording my 2nd & 3rd album right now also. I'm working hard! Lol
